ZiMNA UK Privacy Statement

Protecting our members privacy is particularly important to us. So that members can feel in control of their personal information, we have developed this Privacy Statement to be clear about the information we collect and how it is used.

Collecting Member Information

FNA-UK is a membership organisation founded:
“to provide a forum for Zimbabwean Nurses in the United Kingdom to network and discuss issues of collective interest that have an effect on us all, including signposting members to the right authorities if they have specific individual issues that need to be addressed” (ZiMNA UK Constitution and By-Laws).
ZiMNA UK collects and processes certain personal information without explicit consent that is in the legitimate interests of the association. The information collected helps us provide our services including administering membership records, balloting members, organising activities, promoting what we do, and supporting our officers and volunteers.
All information is provided by members voluntarily through our online membership application form on the ‘MEMBERSHIP’ page of this website. This information personally identifies them, for example: name, postal and email addresses. A small amount of information requested on our online membership application form is mandatory so that we can maintain a membership record, the rest of the information is optional. Assignment of a member to an ZiMNA UK region is based on the postcode that the member supplies.

Using Member Information

We use the information that members provide to enable us to deliver and tailor our services.
We only keep members information for as long as a member wishes to maintain their membership of ZiMNA UK and where there is a legitimate reason for ZiMNA UK to do so.

We do not share member information outside ZiMNA UK.

Summary or aggregated data (for example membership numbers) which do not identify any individual may be shared with other organisations where it is in the legitimate interests of ZiMNA UK to do so.
